AeJay is a graphic designer from Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s in Graphic Design and a minor in User Experience Design as of May 2026. With experimentation and curiosity for design, AeJay emphasizes research, exploration and refinement to each project.
He collaborates with clients in the working design industry, with work spanning across branding, visual identity, posters, editorial, web &
digital design.
His work has been selected for and received multiple awards and recognitions, including GDUSA Student to Watch, Midwestern Graphic Design Biennial, UCDA Design Awards, Art Director’s Association of Iowa, Flux National Student Design Competition, among others.

DESCRIPTION
After researching Emigre and its unconventional approach to typography and graphic design, the project explored how these experimental principles could be reinterpreted within a digital environment. Inspired by Emigre’s use of typography, composition, and emerging technologies, the process challenged traditional design conventions through explorations of layout, movement, and interaction. The result considers how experimental graphic design can move beyond the static page and take on new possibilities through a digital experience.
